Simon Woodruff, MBBS, FRCOphth

Simon WoodruffMr Simon Woodruff is a Consultant Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Surgeon with over 17 years experience in this field.

His main area of interest and expertise is in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery including both functional problems such as periocular tumours, ptosis (droopy upper eyelid), entropion and ectropion and Cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), brow lifts, Botox and facial fillers. He has particular expertise in transconjunctival minimally invasive lower lid blepharoplasty and endoscopic scarless lacrimal (watery eye)
surgery. He qualified from St Mary’s Hospital, London in 1991 and underwent specialist Ophthalmology training in London. This included 4 years of Oculoplastic fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital and The Western Eye Hospital during which he received advanced training in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the periocular region and surrounding areas. Simon has been a Consultant since 2004 and holds NHS Consultant positions for Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

He is a member of The British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society (BOPSS), training director for Ophthalmic Surgical Training at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and also runs surgical training courses for both national and international delegates.
