Saj Ataullah MB BS FRCOphth

Saj is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon. He has 18 years experience in ophthalmology and has been an NHS consultant at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, one of Europe’s leading teaching eye hospitals, since 2002. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and a Royal College Tutor.

After training as an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) Saj undertook specialist ophthalmic plastic surgery training internationally as well as in the UK. He manages all forms of eyelid, lacrimal (watery eye) and orbital disorders including eyelid skin cancer surgery (Mohs’ reconstruction).

Saj specialises in surgical cosmetic procedures including upper eyelid lifts and lower lid eye bag removal (blepharoplasty), ptosis surgery (droopy upper eyelid correction), brow and mid face lifts. He also offers non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as tear trough rejuvenation, Botox injections and facial volume restoration with dermal fillers including Restylane, Juvederm and subQ.

Saj has been published in numerous international peer-reviewed journals and has presented scientific papers in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden, and Belgium as well as the UK. 

He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a founder member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.
